Many years ago, when men walked freely between the realms, a god was killed by mistletoe.

A legendary sword has been missing for generations. It is the slayer of gods, the treasure of kings, and the prize of many an adventurer. One man knows the secret of its existence. But what's one man against the combined might of two dwarfs, a Vanir mercenary, and a sorcerer?

I'm trying a thing that some of my followers here may be interested in. It's a work of original fiction that sprang up from some of the ideas in Sky-Treader, and which draws from the world building in that fic and the related series.

It's through that Jukepop thing I've been talking about, and after combing through their TOS twice, it seems worth trying. I'd appreciate it if people could read and rate it. You do have to have an account with the website, but it takes like, ten seconds to do, and is free.

Dwarfs, elves, gods, and the complete bastardisation of Norse mythology I seem to specialise in.

Recently, Tumblr was acquired by Yahoo, and it's already brought about a few changes; most notably, in their handling of adult content.

It's oft been pointed out that Tumblr has loads of porn, and it's something that's always bothered me the most about the site. It's their servers, and they can do whatever the fuck they want with them, but the fact that porn is so freely-accessible, while at the same time the website is marketed to the teen and tween crowd is just really, really stupid. It's stupid legally, it's stupid economically; it's just stupid.

And now that Yahoo are actively trying to avoid getting the pants sued off them by filtering out adult content, people are freaking the fuck out.

People who aren't even old enough to be legally accessing that content in the first place. And it's even funnier when these people start screaming about censorship and the first amendment.

Frankly, I'm glad Tumblr's taking these steps. I'm also surprised they've not been sued or slapped with a huge fine yet. But if I had a kid, I would not let them go on Tumblr.
