I’ve been sorely missing fandom in the old way of doing it. I don’t get Tumblr or Twitter, still. I grew up on Geocities and Yahoo!Groups. Livejournal was massively important in my online social habits for years.

And then the Fire Nation attacked.

I decided that since I’ve been posting fic again, I might as well start using my journals as well. Yesterday, I went onto Dreamwidth to change my account name to one that has some recognition, only to realise I already owned that username from long ago. Today, I tried to register a new account over here and oh. I’m... here too.

Most posts will likely be crossposted from DW, because LJ has changed so damn much and I can’t really figure out anything. How do you search for communities now? Not that it really seems worthwhile, since most of them are dead. Alas and alack.

I also can’t figure out how to change my layout. Why is this site so awful now?

Every one of my fics are now mistagged. You know, that series where comic!Loki is fucking up the MCU? I don’t like tagging it with comic tags, because it’s not really obvious that this is the premise. He’s just a different Loki for the most part.

But why? Why did this tag disappear? It exists for Captain America. It exists for Hellboy. But the “All Media Types” tag for Thor now canonises as “Thor (Movies)”. That’s the exact opposite of what I want those fics tagged as. And now if I do start tagging for comics canon as well, it’ll get filtered as a crossover. I don’t want that either, because it’s not.

For fuck’s sake, why you do this to me AO3?
