It was unexpectedly hot yesterday
Sep. 10th, 2023 09:58 amWhich was annoying, because I didn't notice how hot it was until I left for my walk, and then I died. Here's a picture of me as I sat to rest in the shade for a bit.

I found this outside a salon, and I assume it's their Halloween decorations only because I've never seen it there before. I only lasted about half the time and distance I usually do, which is fine, because I'd also forgotten that it was Saturday, and my husband and I have a standing TV date on Saturdays. So I got home just in time for him to wake up for that, and I made lunch, and he made breakfast, and we watched our show. Which right now, is series 6 of Taskmaster, because somehow he missed that one and hadn't seen it before. We're about halfway through it, which is going to make things interesting when the new series starts in a couple of weeks. There's a drinking game for it going round Tumblr, and we've made tentative plans to play it for the first episode, although we may have to slightly edit the rules because as they're written, it's very likely that we may die. But my husband's days off work are Thursday/Friday, so getting absolutely shitfaced in the middle of the afternoon does sound fun.
I also did manage to get the chapter I've been wrestling with since last week into a state that I think I'm good with publishing. The problem is that was at 12:30 this morning, and I didn't actually put it into the newsletter yet. I finished it up and went straight to bed. So once I post this, I'm going to go put that into the newsletter and try not to feel sick about it. In the course of working on it, I wound up having to fuss with Aeon Timeline again, and every time I do that I wind up completely forgetting how that fucking software works. I love it. It's a wonderful piece of kit. But my god, everything about how to use it falls out of my brain if I don't use that damn thing daily, I swear.
Later this week, I'm probably going to remove all the fic notes from this journal. I want to get the newsletter organised first, and then start putting other things together after that. And the website is part of other things. I'm also probably going to go next door and look at a dresser later today, although we don't really need one because I've mostly fixed up ours, but if it's bigger than ours and able to fit more stuff, I might take it.
