(no subject)

Well, my hypothesis seems to be confirmed. After two weeks of being allowed to eat whatever the fuck I want, and not the stupid bollocky nonsense I was told would help me “lose weight,” the scale is finally moving downward again. 

I mean, I’m gonna be real, week 1 of being off that diet was largely interpreting “whatever the fuck I want” in the most liberal sense, because I came out of it hangry as a motherfucker and ate more in four days than I normally would in a fortnight. But even now without being back on my full workout schedule, I’m still seeing downward progress, so go figure. The stall was indeed down to the stupid horrible diet. 

For about three months I lost my goddamn mind, wondering why I not only stalled, but started gaining back weight even as I started increasing my workouts to twice a day. Then it was right toward the end that I started to piece things together that the only other change was my diet, and that it had been uniformly crap. The only time I saw any progress was during this brief period where I was allowed to go off the low-FODMAP “gradually,” but I didn’t do that, because I already knew what the problems were from years of managing the problem on my own anyway. I just went right back to my normal habits for a couple of weeks, lost a couple of pounds, and then instantly gained them back when I had to go back on the low-fibre nonsense again. 

But amazing. Go figure. I’m half tempted to complain about the remarks he made, and the way he handled the whole damn thing, but the system around here is so fucked as it is idk if it would even be worth it anyway.

In other news, my shirts got here yesterday, and one of them was very slightly not what I ordered. I kinda don’t mind, except for the part where the shirt I was sent is a Guardians of the Galaxy reference, and the one I ordered was not, so that’s actually annoying. 

I’m on my phone, so uploading photos is tricky, but I posted them to Tumblr last night. (Also halfway through typing this up, all of my phone’s autocorrect shortcut things have stopped working, so that’s fun.)
